[한국대학신문 정수정 기자] Seoul Institute of the Arts (SeoulArts) is currently accepting applications from international students for the Spring 2025 semester.
In order to select the most talented individuals in the creative arts, SeoulArts has increased the emphasis on practical exam scores in its admissions process. Additionally, the Korean language proficiency requirement for international students has been expanded to TOPIK Level 2, ensuring the selection of applicants with strong practical skills.
SeoulArts aims to identify and nurture creative talent with the potential to become leaders in the emerging Korean Wave. Any student with at least a high school diploma who is interested in the arts is eligible to apply. International applicants must meet one of the following criteria: they must be foreign nationals or have completed their elementary, middle, and high school education abroad.
Foreign nationals are required to demonstrate Korean language proficiency. This can be shown by achieving TOPIK Level 2 or higher, completing an intermediate level (Level 1 or higher) at the King Sejong Institute, or achieving Level 4 or higher at a university-run Korean language institute. Non-Korean students who have graduated from a Korean high school are exempt from this language requirement but must obtain TOPIK Level 3 within a year of enrollment.
The document submission period for international students will run from November 25, 2024, to December 26, 2024, with practical exams scheduled between January 19, 2025, and February 5, 2025. For further details, please refer to the international admissions guidelines on the Seoul Institute of the Arts website.
