[한국대학신문 이정환 기자] Chung-Ang University(President Sang-gue Park) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) in Vietnam (President Dang Hoai Bac) at 3 p.m. on August 11th in the President’s Office, Building 201, Seoul Campus.
This agreement is part of a policy initiative discussed during the Korea-Vietnam summit on advanced research and human exchange, enabling Vietnamese students to experience both the Korean and Vietnamese education systems through a more structured academic program. This is a follow-up measure regarding the operation of PTIT’s Global Virtual Convergence College (VCC), which was established through an agreement between the two universities last year.
The signing ceremony was attended by key officials from Chung-Ang University, including President Sang-gue Park, Executive Vice President for Administration Chan-kyu Lee, Vice President for International Affairs Soo-han Woo, and Dean of the Virtual Convergence College Jong-hyun Wi, as well as representatives from PTIT, including President Dang Hoai Bac, Deputy Head of the Department of Science and Technology Management - International Cooperation Dr. Do Trung Anh,
CEO of VK Link Dr. Vu Duc Luong, and Head of the Edu-Tech Department Mr. Vu Van Thuong.
PTIT President Dang Hoai Bac emphasized that “The continued collaboration between the two universities has created opportunities for Vietnamese students to receive world-class education,” and stated that “we will continue to strengthen practical cooperation in the field of education going forward.”
President Sang-gue Park stated that “This agreement will further systematize the Global Virtual Convergence College and expand educational opportunities for students of both countries,” and added that “Chung-Ang University will continue to take the lead in fostering global talent through international educational cooperation.”
Virtual Convergence College is a program operated by Chung-Ang University as an innovative convergence education model, cultivating future-oriented, multidisciplinary talents required by society through a convergence curriculum based on AI and IT. Through this agreement, students of PTIT’s Virtual Convergence College in Vietnam are now able to complete academic programs offered by Chung-Ang University. Building on this agreement, the two universities plan to expand cooperation in various areas, including joint research and faculty exchange.
